In this section, you’ll be introduced to two important verbs: tener and venir. As with so many of the really useful verbs, tener and venir have irregular conjugations. But you just have to (tienes que) learn them, because without tener, you have nothing. And as they say: “No hay mal que por bien no venga” (Literally: “there’s no bad from which good doesn’t come,” or “every cloud has a silver lining.”)
